Fadil Hysaj – Figurë e Shquar e Artit

Fadil Hysaj was born in 1953 in Shtime. He completed his high school education in Ferizaj (1972) and pursued his Acting Degree in Prishtina (1974). He completed his studies in Theater Studies and Comparative Literature at the University of Sarajevo (1978), where he also completed his studies in Theater Directing (1979).

As a playwright, he has written 22 dramas and several film scripts, including the script for the film “Man of the Earth” (directed by Agim Sopi), “Guardians of the Mist” (directed by Isa Qosja), the script “Three Seasons of Kosovo” (awarded as the best script in the competition held by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports), and the script “Hana” (directed by Ujkan Hysaj). As a director, he has staged 54 theater performances. He has also produced the documentary films “Good Dream, Bad Dream” and “Mist.”

He has published over 100 articles, studies, and essays in newspapers and magazines such as “Fjala,” “Rilindja,” “Bujku,” “Ora,” “Zëri,” “Jeta e re,” “Epoka,” “Koha,” “N’art,” “Zeniti,” “Bota sot,” “Gazeta Shqiptare,” “Kombi,” “Koha Ditore,” “Ekskluzive,” etc., mainly focusing on topics related to dramaturgy, theater art criticism, phenomenology of theatrical art, directing, acting, history and aesthetics of world and Albanian cinema, essays and reviews of visual artists (painters and sculptors), as well as various socio-cultural issues.

In 2006, he published the voluminous anthology “Theatrology, Dramaturgy, Directing, and Acting,” a text of anthology character that more or less fills the major gaps in literature in the fields of theater, dramaturgy, directing, and acting.

In addition to the book “Theatrology, Dramaturgy, Directing, and Acting,” Fadil Hysaj has also written the manuscript “From Drama to Performance,” part of which was published in the magazine “Zëri” and another part in the magazine “Theatri” (founder and chief editor), in which, among other things, theoretical aspects of writing drama and staging it are discussed.

In 2022, he published the book with 7 dramas (“Knocks,” “Journey to the Top,” “The Last Show,” “As Medea,” “Adam’s Apple,” “George’s Wounds,” and “The House on Auction”), and in 2023, the book with 6 dramas (with motives from poetry and novels by Albanian authors).

Fadil Hysaj has received numerous national and international awards for directing and staging the best performances. He is the recipient of the Presidential Award for Merit in the Development of Art and Culture, and the recipient of the Award for Lifetime Achievement presented by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports.

As a professor at the Faculty of Arts, he has taught courses in Theater Directing, Acting, and Drama Theory and Directing.

From 2010 to 2023, he founded the largest ethno-complex in the Balkans in the village of Kukaj, where theater performances are staged, and the “EtnoFest” festival is organized every year with theater, music, ethno-performance, concerts, traditional rituals and gastronomy, exhibitions and figurative installations, and other programs…

Fadil Hysaj ka lindur më 1953 në Shtime. Gjimnazin e ka mbaruar në Ferizaj (1972) ndërsa Degën e Aktrimit në Prishtinë (1974). Studimet e Teatrologjisë dhe Letërsisë Komperative i ka mbaruar në Universitetin e Sarajevës (1978) ku paralelisht ka mbaruar edhe studimet e Regjisë Teatrore (1979)

Si dramaturg ka shkruar 22 drama dhe disa skenare filmi, ne mesin e te cilave skenarin e filmit “ “Njeriu prej dheu” ( ne regji te Agim Sopit)  “Rojet e mjegulles” ( ne regji te Isa Qosjes) skenarin “Tri stinet e Kosoves” ( is hperblyer si skenari me I mire ne konkursin e MKRS-se per skenare) dhe skenarin “Hana” ( ne regji te Ujkan Hysajt. ndërsa si regjisor i inskenoi 54 shfaqje teatrore. Ka realizuar edhe filmat dokumentar “ Enderr e keqe enderr e mire” dhe “Mjegulla”
Ka botuar mbi 100 shkrime, studime e ese në gazetat dhe revistat “Fjala”, “Rilindja” “Bujku” “Ora” “Zëri” “Jeta e re” “Epoka” “Koha” “N’art” Zeniti” “Bota sot” “Gazeta Shqiptare” “Kombi” “Koha Ditore”, “Ekskluzive” etj. kryesisht shkrime nga lëmi i dramaturgjisë, kritikës dhe fenomenologjisë së artit teatror, regjisures dhe aktrimit, historisë dhe estetikës së filmit botëror dhe shqiptar, ese dhe recensione për artistë figurativ (piktorë dhe skulptorë) si dhe shkrime nga problematika të ndryshme, socio-kulturore.


Në vitin 2006 botoi librin voluminoz me shkrime antologjike “Teatrologji, dramaturgji, regji dhe aktrim” një tekst me karakter antologjik që përmbush pak a shumë boshllëqet e mëdha me literaturë nga lëmi i teatrologjisë, dramaturgjisë, regjisurës dhe aktrimit .
Pos librit “Teatrologji, dramaturgji, regji dhe aktrim” Fadil Hysaj ka në dorëshkrim edhe librin “Prej dramës deri te shfaqja” një pjesë të cilit e ka botuar në revistën “Zëri” e një pjesën tjetër në revistën “Theatri” (thelelues dhe kryeredaktor) ne te cilen pos tjerash jane trajtuar aspekte teorike te shkrimit te dramës dhe inskenimit te saj
Ne vitin 2022 boti librin me 7 Drama ( “Trokitje”, “Udhesi I majes së lartë”, “Shfaqja e fundit” “si Medeja” “Molla e Adamit” “Plaget e Gjergjezit” dhe ”Shtëpia në ankand’) dhe ne vitin 2023 librin me 6 drama ( me motive nga poezi dhe romane te autoreve shqiptarë)

Fadil Hysajt  ka marred isa çmime kombetare e nderkombetar per regji dhe shfaqje me te mire. Eshtë laureat i Çmimit Presidencial per Merita ne zhvillimin e artit dhe kultures, laureat i Çmimit për Vepër Jetësore të ndarë nga MKRS-ja. 

Si profesor ne Fakultetin e Arteve ka dhene i lëndës e Regjisurës tetarore, te aktrimit dhe teorise se drames dhe Regjise 

Nga  viti 2010 deri ne vitin 2023 ka themeluar ne fshatin Kukaj etnokompleksin  me te madh ne Ballkan ku inskenohen shfaqje tetarore dhe organizohet cdo vit i festivali “EtnoFest” me programe teatrore, muzikore, etno performance , koncerte, rite e gastronomi  tradicionale, ekspozita dhe instalacione figurative dhe programe tjera….
